Well my first experience in seminary in New Orleans is coming to an end. All I can say is…. New Orleans smells bad and they have large rats. Well that sums up my experience this past week.
Really I am writing this from the lobby of the seminary. I have been in New Orleans since Sunday and am so ready to head back to Gadsden. Man I think I have missed home more this past week then ever. I have had to stay in a dorm type room with no TV, couch, or chair. It just makes it so awkward when there is no where to sit down. The bed was also a twin. So if you remember what I look like that is not a good match. But to top it all off my buddy Matthew that came with me is a sleep walker. I am not sure if you have ever had the expereience of staying in a room for an entire week with a sleepwalker, if not let me tell you something it is FREAKY. I never slept well because I never knew what he was going to do. I am so ready to get back to my house and sleep in my bed with no one talking to me or walking around my room. It made for some great stories though.
Hope Everyone has had a great week. I will be in Gadsden next week then start my summer travels and will return home sometime in early July.
Have a great Weekend.

The Show Really is Rigged
I can not believe it. I am so disappointed in America that they let Danny go home tonight.

I was really a fan of Danny Gokey. I have followed the show ever since the second season, and I must say I am truly disappointed. I guess all I can really say is…. IT’S RIGGED

Consuming My Time

The last few weeks of my life have been so crazy. I never knew that I could write so many papers. I finish up this semester on Monday by writing my personal philosophy of education. It will probably end up being about 15 pages.
I am going to be going to New Orleans for a class the last week of this month. It is only a 3 hour class and I have to read about 3 books and write about 40 pages worth of papers. It should prove to be a lot of fun. I have already registered for next Fall. I am going to be going on Mondays and Thursdays. It will be a long long semester but I am just so ready to get done. It will help being able to take 5 extra hours.
This June is going to be jam packed as well. Once I get back from New Orleans I will be leaving for Middle School Camp in Bagdad Kentucky. I am looking forward to this trip it should be a lot of fun for the students. The day after camp I will be leaving for Gulf Shores. I am looking forward to this trip it is the annual Tunstall Family Vacation that I crash every year. The day after we get back from Gulf Shores I am leaving for Stafford Virginia for our High School Mission Trip. So away from home for a solid month. Welcome to my world for the summer. I am already ready for July.
Hope everyone is doing great. Sorry for the delay.

It Really Made Me Think
I was sitting at my desk today. Which by the way is in desperate need of cleaning off. I was pulling some papers out of a stack and this fell out.

I wonder where we would be?

I am Pretty Sure The Chair Was for One Person

I think a lot of my buddies, but sometimes they worry me. Seth and Matt just hanging out on a Saturday night. The funny thing was there was a couch three feet away from this chair. HAHA They don’t make it in the blog enough. So here is their 10 mins of fame.

Takes Me Back

Someone put this picture up on facebook. When I saw it I had to put it on here. The picture is cropped but it is from the movie The Goonies. If you have never seen it I highly recommend it. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid and still is to this day. Lots of stars when they were younger. Check it out.

Quick Trip To The Country
Mom and I have been in Greenwood Florida for the past couple of days spending some time with family. I know many of you are wondering where in the world Greenwood is located. The best I can tell you is go to the edge of reason and go a little bit further. My cousin Luke and aunt Jane live there. The best I can describe it as is THE COUNTRY. I am wondering how the sun finds it to shine everyday.
We spent the day today in Dothan. O yeah it is about 35 miles south of Dothan for real for those who were wondering. If you have ever seen the movie Funny Farm with Chevy Chase the part when the truck drivers ask “How to get to Redbud” and the man responds “If I was going to Redbud I sure wouldn’t start from here”. That is the way I have felt all weekend. We had a great time together today though for real. We do not get to see each other very much and it was a great time.
Here is a picture of my cousin Luke, my Mom, and my aunt Jane.

My Buddy Chad

I wanted to write a quick post all for my friend Chad Ellis. Chad is probably the one friend I have that truly keeps up with me through this blog. Chad and I have been friends since 5th grade. He definitely keeps everything interesting. Much love Chuck.

The 411 on ME
It has been raining all day long. I am so sick of the rain. It has been a pretty hectic week. I did get my first test back for the semester a big 98 in Christian Counseling. That by no means indicates that I can help anyone with their problems though. Mondays continue to be the longest days ever. It is tough leaving the house at 730 and getting back most times at like 930. The great thing is that I only have like 13 more times I have to do it. Well at least for this semester. I did have the opportunity to preach last Wednesday night to our youth. This was the first time I have spoken since the first of the year. It was fun to get back into the office and write a sermon again.
Everything seems to be going well with all of the transition so far. I am enjoying the change in the schedule because I have the ability to be in both groups. Josh seems to be settling in well also. I have thought alot about how well I would adjust to just picking up and moving to a new city where I didn’t know anyone. I then think I am glad it was him and not me. I admit I am a creature of habit.
This month seems to have a lot in-store for me coming up. I have to write a few papers and read a few books I am so excited I can hardly hold in my excitement. Mom and I are planning a trip to Florida to see my cousins also. Not the good part of Florida it is not close to the beach. It should be fun to see the family though I haven’t seen them in a long time. Things around the office are pretty busy as well we have a lot of things coming up in the near future so there is a lot to do.
Well I hope everyone is doing well. Till next Time.

A Start of Something New
Well as I write this I am sitting in well I am supposed to be sitting in my Pastoral Counseling class. Today we hit the fun topic of Depression. I had to leave the class early because I was about to start struggling with depression if I would have stayed any longer. My professor just reads straight from the book and it is all I can do to stay awake. I decided to take the time and catch up on some reading I had let slip. It is a start of what is going to be a long long semester. I am here for 13 hours on Mondays. My day off is my longest day of the week.
Well the past month has been a pretty busy time. There has been so much going on and so much I am trying to plan for it has been crazy. Trying to think through the spring and the summer for the student ministry and trying to figure out where to go on mission trips is a time consuming thing.
We are in the process of hiring a part time secretary for the student ministry. I have never been involved on interviews and stuff like that so it is pretty interesting. Josh is handling the majority of setting up the interviews and stuff so that is good. I couldn’t remember if I wrote about it but we did hire a new student pastor Josh Malone. He has been here about 2 months now. Everything is going good there at the church just busy right now.
I hope all is well.
