Well the first annual Tailgate Party at MeadowBrook is over. We had a great time last night. Since I was in charge i was so nervous about how it was all going to go. I think it all came together very well. I had a great team that did alot of work for me. Lane Williamson, Rick Weeks, and Robert Mangum got to the church at 5 am and smoked 18 boston butts all day. The meat was so good all of the guest went on and on about it. We had wings that were donated by Jefferson’s that lasted about 5 mins. Vickey Weeks, Jessica Williamson, Hank and Donna Appleton, and my dad all helped so much too. I just wanted to take a little bit and thank them all.
Today I am out of school because all of my teachers are at workshops. I love days out of school. Pastor Randy, James Ray, and myself are going to Tuscaloosa to take all of our college students there to Dreamland. Now this is a great day school lis cancelled and Dreamland ribs that is tough to beat. The only downside is that I have to go to Tuscaloosa.
We had a great weekend too. Everyone came over to the hose and we grilled out and watched football all day on Saturday. Auburn plays this Thursday night so I am sure we will all get together again then. I have to feed Glencoe’s football team first on Thursday so I will getting done about time of kickoff.
Well just catching everyone up on what has been happening. Hope you all had a great weekend.
