Yesterday what a day. IT was one of those days that lets me know everything is back to normal. Which means I was extremely busy. I started my day at the office with a meeting. I then moved to Rainbow Middle where I had lunch with my students there. It takes about 2 hours for me to see all of my students as they come through the lunchroom.
I went from there to a lunch meeting with Brian and Gina Harbison to discuss First Priority at Southside High. That is a group that I have lead for a couple of years on Thursday mornings at the Southside. It was a good meeting. As I was finally making my way back to the church I forgot to pick of the hamburger meat for Way of the Cross. The meat had to be here so they could make meatloaf this morning for the shelter.
I didnt make it back to the church till after 4. I was so glad that I had prepared to Wednesday Night earlier in the week. We had a great night last night. As I stood in front of my students I felt as if I had started a new job. There are so many new 6th graders that I felt I did not know anyone up there. I welcome the challenge though. It is such a fun group.
By the way we ended up with colse to 50 at Southside this morning. It is going to be a good year. I hope to have visited all the schools by this time next week. I start school myself on Monday. So it truly is BACK TO NORMAL…
Have a great day.
