I tried to insert a picture into the post to show you a gate like the one I attempted to help Corey and Matt build tonight, but I am having some issues inserting pictures into my blog. It is very frustrating. I guess that is what you get when you use a free site as your blog hosting. I will try to get it resolved tomorrow.
Well I finished my paper today. What a weight lifted off my shoulders. Now all I have left for school this semester is 2 tests and one out of class essay that goes along with one of my tests. I am hoping to start on that soon so I will be through with it before I have to start studying for my tests. It has been a long semester I am looking forward to a break.
I will go back to where I started this entry. Today when I got off work I went to Coreys and helped him and Matt finish the fence Corey has been building. We had to put another gate on the other side. When it comes to wood working I feel like such an idiot. I have come to the conclusion that carpentry is like art. When you are good with wood and making things you see how to build exactly what it is you want to build. I guess like an artist looks at a blank canvas. I just sit back and watch Matt turn piles of wood into things that just amazes me.
I guess this is why God made us all so different. If I am sure of one thing I do not have the gift of carpentry. I wish I did because there is something about feeling like a real man when you can take some wood and turn it into something useful. I have decided though that I will always be the guy who keeps the economy in line by hiring out all of my carpentry needs. It is by the way great having friends that can totally come help you when you have a big mess you have created. SO here is to all of you who are the real handymen.
